My journey into the realm of sex education began with a great curiosity around human sexuality. What started as a keen interest during my Sociology studies evolved into a profound passion. As I immersed myself in my dissertation, "Discovering Oneself: Heteronormativity and Women's Desire," I began to unravel the complex challenges women face in their sexual lives. This work ignited my commitment to not only understanding but also addressing these issues.

As I pursued an MSc in Gender, Sexuality, and Society, I shifted my focus to male sexuality. My dissertation, "The Impact of Impotence on Male Identity," offered me a unique lens through which I could explore how patriarchal structures exert their influence on male sexual experiences. This academic exploration broadened my understanding of the oppressive dynamics at play in various aspects of sexuality.

For over a decade, I have dedicated myself to helping adults achieve more fulfilling sexual lives through my work as a coach and sex educator. This period has been transformative, reinforcing my mission to foster positive and empowered sexual experiences for individuals and couples.

The birth of my child marked a significant turning point in my perspective on sex education. I realised that sexual education is not a one-time conversation but an ongoing, daily commitment. This insight shifted my focus towards supporting parents and educators, equipping them with the knowledge and tools to provide effective sex education. Through creating online content, offering coaching sessions, and conducting training, I've aimed to strengthen their efforts in nurturing informed and healthy attitudes towards sexuality.

In 2021, I had the opportunity of becoming a fully-trained Sexologist at IUNIVES - Camilo José Cela University, one of Spain's prestigious Sexology Institutes. This opportunity further deepened my expertise and reinforced my dedication to sexual education and advocacy.

Since then, I have had the privilege of working with Dhiverse, a local sexual health charity, where I have overseen educational projects. This experience has deepened my appreciation for the importance of comprehensive, well-informed conversations about sexuality, and underscored the crucial role parents and educators play in sex education.

My mission remains firm: to create a world where comprehensive sex education is accessible to all, empowering individuals and families to navigate the complexities of human sexuality with confidence, empathy, and understanding. Join me on this journey as we work together to build a more informed and empowered future for everyone.

Why is sex education so important?

In today's rapidly changing world, where information is readily accessible through the internet, it's crucial for parents to take an active role in their children's sex education. By doing so, you can ensure that your child receives accurate, age-appropriate information and develops a healthy attitude toward their own bodies and relationships. Sex education is not just about preventing unwanted outcomes; it's about fostering understanding, respect, and empathy.

Join me on this journey to create a more informed, open, and inclusive world of sex education. Together, we can empower other parents and educators to become the primary source of trustworthy information for their children, creating a positive and lasting impact on their lives.

Let's start the conversation today, because when it comes to sex education, knowledge is power, and open dialogue is the key to a healthier future for our children.
